To the Taiwanese people, the earth god Tudigong is like a close relative. No matter what problems you are going through in life, you can always confide in him. Economic troubles are something that many people have gone through, but have you ever considered borrowing money from Tudigong? There are only a few Tudigong temples throughout Taiwan that allow people to borrow money, the most famous of which is Nantou's Zinan Temple. The amount of people visiting Zinan Temple in hopes of gaining "lucky money" are never ending. Up to 600 NTD in "lucky money" can be borrowed, and many people will come to inquire Tudigong. If Tudigong is willing, head to the counter and register the loan! In 2014, believers in Taiwan borrowed a grand total of 400 million, with 650 million paid back. The temple thusly repaid the followers, with one example being a luxurious and spacious,"6-star" bathroom. Cleanliness, neatness, and tidiness are all fundamentals, and it even possesses a fountain! Even more unbelievable is that during 2015, Zinan Temple announced that it would be take responsbility for the tuition of all elementary and junior high school students in Zhushan Town! Tudigong is generous and takes care of the neighborhood, so that more people may be able to benefit from this kindness. It's really quite moving!
