Taiwan's low-latitude mountains are warm and wet, and recieve plenty of rainfall. Many types of tea can be grown, ranging from green tea to fermented tea, and all are of good quality and renowned internationally. During the Qing Dynasty, it was also one of the main cash crops. Nantou's Yuchi Township is the center for Taiwan's black tea, and during its peak, the tea gardens reached up to 2000 hectares. As the cash corp economy changed along with dietary habits, the Antique Assam Tea Farm began to try out pesticide-free organic cultivation, reassuring each and every customer as they drink the tea. To this day, they have gained and kept the customers' approval. If you head to Antique Assam Tea Farm for a tour, you can see for yourself its simple and pro-environment appeal. Many egrets rest within the farm. With its preserved Japanese-style, the farm isn't extraordinarily extravagant or lavish in appearance. However, you can still drink pure black tea here while being surrounded by the cozy environment; it's a source of simple and great happiness!
