Livestock is raised in Taiwan, and although the extent is not as large as Europe, many farms are open for tourism and sightseeing. Qingjing Farm, located in Nantou, attracts many visitors due to its European style and docile sheep. However there's also several areas here: the cattle breeding area raises cattle from all over the world, the fruits and vegetables area is divided into a temperate fruits section and cold vegetables section, while in the alpine flowers area, many flowers suitable for the high-elevation are planted. Along with the architecture here, built to imitate the European style, it's as if you're no longer in tropical Taiwan but Europe! If you're visiting just to tour the farm, watch the shepherds herd sheep and shave their fleece, then it's a shame, because the area is quite large and there's tons to experience here. There's six characteristic trails within the farm, and you can admire the mountain scenery, get close to the cattle and sheep, and enjoy the forest atmosphere. You can even surround yourself with white French chrysanthemums. The air is fresh and clean, and located fear from the heat of the city. It's an ideal destination for a summer getaway! If you camp and spend the night here, you'll be within direct view of the stunning Milky Way overhead, and maybe even quietly catch the sight of a shooting star! However keep in mind the temperature difference on the mountain at night, and be sure to bring plenty of warm clothing.
