Budai Fishing Harbor is most well known for their fresh seafood, namely shrimps, prawns, and oysters. The oysters here are raised in the deep sea, and turn out to be both healthy and large. They've always been favorites for gourmets. In addition, there is a direct sales center located within the tourist fish market, featuring a fresh products area, processed products area, and a food and beverage area. Tourists can purchase fresh seafood in the fresh products area at a convenient and lower price. Of course you may also have the good prepared in the food and beverage area, and then take processed seafood and related goods back home with you in the processed products area. In the past, ships would travel back and forth between Budai Harbor and Xiamen, in China. Crowds flourished around that time, and many people would thrive busily in the streets. With resturants and a theater, you can only imagine how prosperous Budai was back then. Budai Fishing Harbor started to transform into a tourist harbor quite early on, however it still hasn't lost that vibe from the past. During the weekends or holidays, there's countless tourists on the streets. The sounds of the market vendors calling out loudly mix together with the tourists' bargains, it's all quite lively. In addition, there's mangrove-viewing trips out on the sea, oyster cultivation areas, and others. Take a boat out to sea and view Budai from another perspective!
