A bathing beach located within Taiwan’s New Taipei City, Gongliao District, it is also known as Fulong Azure Coast. It was a famous local bathing spot even during the Japanese era. The Shuang River meets the sea here, dividing the beach into inner and outer parts. The area is perfect for kayaking, sailing, parasailing, swimming, surfing, water-skiing, and other water activities. The beach also possesses exceedingly rare golden sand and is quite beautiful underneath the illuminating sunlight. Fulong Bathing Beach is the best destination to visit during the summer to play with the water. There’s a visitor’s center, which is a building with red tiles and white walls, a presentation room, recreational activities area, driftwood carving exhibition area, service desk, natural ecology exhibition area, cultural and historical sites as well as art exhibition areas and more. On the first floor of the driftwood carving exhibition area are art pieces created from driftwood washed ashore by Typhoons Nari, Haiyan, and others. The management have taken 14 original national hostels and established a villa-themed vacation village, allowing guests to experience a villa vacation without traveling all the way to Bali. Every year between July to August, the Hohaiyan Rock Festival is hosted, lasting for 3 to 5 days. A lively and bustling atmosphere can be experienced at this event. However since the event is held during the typhoon season, typhoon interferences and damages are a common occurrence, leading to delays.
