QiJin Tianhou Temple isn't just simple temple, it's one of the oldest buildings in Kaohsiung, built in 1691. After three hundred years, this temple has become the center of faith for the locals. Although the temple itself isn't very large, the interior isn't that impressive, and there isn't a huge gold plated offering box, or high beams, the simple décor and the exquisite carvings gives this place a feeling of peace and warmth. The Qijin region is surrounfed by the sea. There many special features in this temple such as a wish fountain that is rarely seen at temples, and rare collections of antiques by the temple courtyard.
