There are many well-known hot springs within Kaohsiung's Liugui District, with Baolai Hot Spring being the most well-known of them. Baolai Hot Spring is located in the western part of the valley off of Nanheng Road. The scenery within the valley is gorgeous with cliffs lining both sides. Baolai's hot spring is geothermal with the heat coming from within the Earth. The spring water is clear and rich in minerals, while the average temperature of the water is around 60 degree Celsius. It is said in addition to bathing, the water is actually drinkable! There are various different hot spring spas to choose from within Baolai. A few years ago they received heavy damage during Typhoon Morakot, but they have been gradually recovering since. Locals here stayed to help with the reconstruction and to ensure quality service to all their visitors, so that they may have  the best experience possible. When you're in Kaohsiung and looking for a bath, don't miss Baolai. Come here to enjoy a more relaxing pace of life; sit in the hot springs to embrace nature. It will definitely be this winter's best experience!
