Beiguan Tidal Park, as known as “Lancheng Park ", is a costal park with a great diversity of landscapes which are located in the northeast coastal area. Beiguan was originally a gateway in the Manchurian Dynasty, which used to be the best method of defense to prevent pirate invasions, therefore there are two two-centuries-old cannons inside the park.

Inside the Beiguan Tidal Park, there are all kinds of amazing sea-erosion landscapes, including the mushroom rock, ginger rock and wave-cut platform. The aforementioned are parts of layers featuring special shapes as a result of being corroded by sea water. The waves are also a well-known feature of the park, which was named as one of the "Eight attractions of Lanyang” — “The Tide of Beiguan”. You can clearly spot  Turtle Island in the ocean-viewing pavilion in the Beiguan Tidal Park.

The best time in a day to visit Beiguan Tidal Park will surely be at sunrise or when the tide rises, the spectacular waves will absolutely amaze you.
