Jinzun Beach located at the 136.5 km point of Highway No.11 is referred to as the most beautiful beach and bay on the main island of Taiwan. The continuous sand beach and crystal blue ocean have made the scenery unforgettable for visitors. Jinzun is a fiord shaped like a wineglass,  which gives it the name of Jinzun, or the golden wineglass.” The bay includes a beach and off-coast reefs that span for almost 3 kilometres, creating a picture-like scenery under the pale blue sky. The ford terrain also causes waves to be powerful and stable, making Jinzun a popular site for surfers. In recent years, there are also international surfing competitions held at Jinzun, increasing its popularity globally. Every November, international surfers will accumulate and chase the waves here during international level contests. Since the water temperature here are higher than average year-round, many surfers even choose to settle at Jinzun. There are also shops offer surf board renting and surfing tutoring. The East Coast Scenery Management Office also built a wooden trail and lookout that enables visitors to overlook the coastline of the east coast, and even get a glimpse of Green Island when weather is nice.
