The Yingge Pottery Museum is located off of Wen Hua Road, close to the famous Pottery Old Street. Yingge's pottery fame is renowned throughout Taiwan, and is even named Taiwan's most scenic town. The pottery museum is rightfully located in this small pottery town. Yingge's Pottery Museum is the first museum in Taiwan that specializes in a theme such as pottery. The museum opened up a gateway in exhibiting Taiwan's pottery industry, and has informed the public on the processes and history behind everything. Due to the museum, many precious art pieces, information regarding pottery, and the history of pottery have been preserved. The museum's architectural form is made with fair-faced concrete, metal frames, and big see-through glass panels, to let in the natural light. The natural light gives the whole museum an indescribable beauty. As the sunlight changes throughout the day so does the shadow it casts across the displays, giving life to everything it touches. Behind the museum is a pottery park. Again, with pottery as the theme, this park shows quite a bit of pottery art creations at different places throughout. The museum often host events relating to pottery and even hosts hands-on classes for the public. No matter if one is an adult or a kid, they can all experience the fun of pottery.
