Taichung Cultural Park locates in the southern area of Taichung City. It was formerly the Taishō Brewing Joint-stock Company, founded in 1916, in Japanese-occupied period, and was later bought by the government and claimed to be the largest brewing company in Taiwan then. Now it has been transformed into a cultural park, preserving the winery buildings and brewing machineries in good condition.
The entire factory area has become a cultural park with part of the brewing winery transformed into Taiwan Winery Museum.  There are all sorts of exhibitions and park guidance taking place in the park, attracting visitors with its unique and thick cultural atmosphere of Taichung. In addition to a variety of exhibitions, there are also shops selling creative designers’ goods and a cafe serving coffees, meals, and alcohol drinks. The performing space is also open to renting.
