To commemorate Dr. Sun Yat-sen's revolutionary deeds and to carry on his ideological doctrine, Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall was built on a road surrounded by Zhongxiao East Road, Renai Road, Guangfu South Road, and Yixian Road. Academic and artistic activities are hosted from time to time, with many activities striving to promote Sun Yat-sen's beliefs of "benevolence", "for the sake of the world", and "the purpose of life is to serve". There's the General Assembly Hall, Dr. Sun Yat-sen Library, Zhongshan Park, Cuihu, Zhongshan Stone Tablets, Guangchang Fountain, and numerous plants located here. If come for a visit, you can attend a ceremony. From 8:30 to 9:00 in the morning, the main hall will be open to visitors, who can then admire a bronze statue of Sun Yat-sen. Taking place everyday exactly on the hour, the on-duty squad will shift, lasting ten minutes. Taking place at 5:30 is the flag-lowering ceremony. It's an event that tourists will clamber over each other for in order to see!
