Located in Tamsui, Aletheia University was originally known as Oxford College. Nowadays, it has seven colleges: Humanities, Mathematics, Finance, Management, Tourism, Languages, and Knowledge Economics. It's an university founded by the Christian Church. The campus is elegant, with a honest and simple school atmosphere. Everywhere, the campus is brimming with greenery, rich colors, and historical monuments. There's Oxford College, Dr.Mackay's Former Residence, and the Red House. It is also a well-known scenic spot for wedding photography. Oxford College is a hybrid of Western and Chinese architectural styles, with Mackay imitating the style of traditional siheyuans. The red brick house utilizes a mixture of glutinous rice, black sugar, lime, and sand as a substitute for cement, while the chapel features a large pipe organ as well: it is one of 17 in Taiwan, and is the tallest and second largest in the entire country. The organ is hand-made by Holland's largest pipe organ manufacturer, Pels and Van Leeuwen, and its sound design is adopted from Holland's early to mid 19th century. Combined with the ingenuity of French Romanticism, its own style of sound was created: soft, warm, rich in tone, and powerful.
