The complete name of Sky Lantern Police Station, located beside Jingtong Station, is "New Taipei City Government Police Station-Ruifang Sub Bureau, Pingxi Branch". Its exterior reaches up to 9 meters, and utilizes LED technology, with nearly 200,000 light bulbs used. Every evening from 6 until 9, a spectacular 5 minute long light carving show will be played every half hour. There's a daily quote of 90 groups allowed per day, and the fee each time is 150 NTD. It takes at least an hour to set off an LED sky lantern, due to the workers scanning the written letters and images beforehand. After scanning, the cards can be sent to your home. Aside from the station's light show, tourists can experience the popular and eco-friendly electronic sky lanterns. The first floor of the police station is a parking lot, while the second and third floors are business areas. Located on the first floor's public area are public toilets and a waiting area. The second floor is an OT area, namely the location for you to register your electronic sky lantern, and the third floor contains an observation deck.
