Keelung’s famous tourist fishing port, Bisha Fishing Port, is a well-known sightseeing spot in the city and is divided into two sections: “Fish Market” and “Food Street”. Next to the port are large seafaring boats, which are Taiwan’s first polar expedition and ocean research boats. Although old-fashioned and out-dated in design, they are still as elegant and graceful as ever. Inside the fish market, there are various sorts of live seafood to select from, with species from the distant seas, off-shore, or coastal areas, as well as ones that are cultivated. Anything that one can think of can be found here! When buying seafood, be sure to shop around and compare prices first. Also please don’t select species that are under conservation. In addition to being able to order food from the stores on food street, one may also give the store owners the seafood they have purchased previously and have them cook it into cuisine. Simple flavors will cost 100 NTD, while more complicated flavors will cost 150 NTD as a cuisine fee. Not only is there delicious seafood to eat when visiting Bisha Fishing Port, a sightseeing yacht is also available to take. Both adults and children need to remember to bring their ID cards/passports, driver’s license, or health insurance card.
