Caoling's former name was Fanpingkeng, and is located in Yunlin County's Gukeng Township. Surrounded by mountains, the terrain undulates with many faults, forming several unique geographical landscapes in the process. The 921 earthquake caused a large-scale collapse in Caoling Township, transforming it overnight. Nowadays, Caoling is quite different from the past, although the Thousand Years (Wannian) Canyon remains constant and still maintains its magnificent canyon features. With its original terrain, you can admire at close-range Thousand Years Canyon's landscape. The majestic view will surely leave you stunned!
