You would have never imagined that such an interesting museum would be hidden away within the lively Yonghe area. Instead of relying on methods of preaching to spread the message of religion, the museum utilizes technology and multimedia to explain the origin of religion to people. From the instance you walk through the water curtain at the entrance and into a semi-circular golden hall, you'll know that you are in for an interesting experience. Aside from exhibiting Taoist, Buddhist, Christian, Catholic, and Islamic religions, there's also Hinduism and Japanese religious beliefs. Each religion features its own long history. There's no harm in having a guide or follow the 2PM tour. Another highlight of the museum is the 7th floor's miniature model area. Not only are miniature versions of world-famous religious buildings displayed, but mini-cameras can be manually operated so that you can view the interior details of the buildings. The Life's Journey Hall broadcasts people from all over the world telling about the impact of religion on their lives. If you spend some time here, perhaps you'll gain a new perspective on any life issues you are currently facing.
