Treasure Hill is located in Taipei City's Tingzhou Road, section 3. It faces Hukongshan and pays tribute to Guanyin. It's a center of religion for immigrants from Axi, Quanzhou. During the reign of Emperor Kangxi during the Qing Dynasty, he defeated the Kingdom of Zheng and formally ruled Taiwan. As a result, the people of southern Fujian gradually immigrated, and came here to form the well-known Treasure Hill settlement. The construction still maintain its distinctive Qing Dynasty wood promenade structure, pillars, and stone windows. The stone windows of its temple and Guanyin Pavilion are particularly well-known. Treasure Hill mainly worships Lord Guanyin, but pays tribute to Sakyamuni Buddha, Manjushri, Samantabhadra, Emperor Wenchang, Emperor Guansheng, the Celestial Mother, Cheng Huang, Tudi Gong, Maitreya, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, and many deities as well. Treasure Hill now features many artists, who install art in the village. The artists who participate each time are different. From time to time, exhibition activities are also hosted. There's children's camps, tours, workshops, and academic programs. Remember to apply in advance; there's also lodging available ehre too! Although it is a historical building, remember that there are still residents living here. So when touring, please do not make any loud noises.
