Taipei Children's New Amusement Park is located in Shilin District, on Chengde Road, Section 5, No.55. During the Japanese occupation period, it was known as "Children's Amusement Garden". It was once an extension of the Yuanshan Zoo, built in 1914. In 1986 the zoo was moved to Muzha, and in 1991, it's name was officially changed to "Taipei Children's Amusement Park Center". The park covers an area of 9.3 hectares and is divided into three sections: "Yesterday Land", "Tomorrow Land", and "Amusement Land". Aside from featuring facilities from the original park, Yesterday Land offers ancient Chinese everyday living experiences and activities. Tomorrow Land mainly introduces new scientific knowledge and technologies, and possesses an outer space theater that screens 3-D movies. In December 16th of 2014, the park was moved to its current location in Shilin District, by the Keelung River. It's now Taipei Children's New Amusement Park, taking up 5 hectares. The park utilizes a ticket fee and separate charges, and can be paid for with the EasyCard. The new park is divided into a fantasy forest, dream ocean, magical planet, toy country, and other areas. It offers facilities such as a sky trail, slides, and sandbox, in addition to performance areas, visitor's center, breastfeeding rooms, culinary street, Chinese-style restaurant, themed shops, indoor game areas, children's theater, emergency first aid stations, AED devices, esclators, toilets, parking lots for cars and scooters, storage lockers, top-up machines, and ATMs, just to name a few. The children's theater offers excellent quality pay-per-view programs, and changes them at set dates.
