Baisha Cape Lighthouse is located at Taoyuan City's Guanyin District, Xinpoxia No.16. It was built in the year 1901 by the Japanese, and is a round brick tower standing at a height of 37 meters talls. As the second tallest lighthouse in Taiwan, it's also a designated county monument. Baisha Cape Lighthouse is not assembled from cast iron, but rather, built from red bricks and stones. A  doubled-layered masonry method was used in its construction. For lighting, three-shaft rotating lens triple-core kerosene lamps were used. The brick tower utilizes an ancient mixture of glutinous rice, brown sugar, and lime as glue, while the upper section of the lighthouse is built from large blocks of stone in brackets, which have withstood several earthquakes and typhoons. It features a guide room, a sundial from the Japanese era, wireless intercoms, a clock made by the Shanghai Machinery Bureau, paddy fields, ponds, wooden walkways, circular trails, park, pavilions, public plaza, and children's facilities. Located within its vicinity is the Guanyin Coastal Recreation Area, Ganquan Temple, and Da tan Pitang Recreational Trail.
