The Military Dependents Village Museum is located in Hsinchu City's North District, on Dongda Road, Section 2, No.105. Established in the year 2002, it's the first museum in Taiwan to be themed after a military dependent village. The original location was at the eight district of Hsinchu's Air Force One Village. Due to changes in time, the dependent village was rebuilt, and its preciouus cultural relics and resources began to disappear as well. The museum displays these relevant precious cultural relics, which are mostly donated by the residents of Hsinchu City. The building itself is three-stories tall, and as soon as you enter, the epitome of military dependent village life reemerges, including appliances and supplies used in everyday life. There's also bedrooms, kitchens, roadside stalls, old-fashioned red brick walls, Shandong steamed bun stalls, colorful painted streetscapes, several daily necessities, old antiques, historical materials, village history, and more on display. Special exhibitions are held from time to time on the third floor, introducing cultural assets such as military and cultural relics related to Hsinchu City.
