The National Hsinchu Living Arts Center is located in the East District of Hsinchu City, on No.110, Wuchang Street. In 1921, the Hsinchu City Hall was established during the Japanese occupation period. It often held various lectures, large-scale meetings of officials and people, dinner parties, performances, exhibitions, and official Japanese government-sponsored decrees. It wasn't renamed the National Hsinchu Living Arts Center until 2012, and as a cultural exhibition venue, it promotes the aesthetics of life, cultural and artistic performances, cultural and creative industries, and community building in the 9 counties of Northern Taiwan. The main building is made out of brick and combines both traditional Taiwanese architecture with Western design. A lecture hall is located within the aesthetics museum, and is divided into two parts: the stage and the seating area.
