Wuling Farm is situated at Taichung's Heping District, on Wuling Road, No.3-1, and in the Qijiawan river basin. It is 1750  to 2200 meters above sea level, and along with Qingjing Farm and Fushoushan Farm, the three of them are known as Taiwan's three main mountain farms. Qijiawan's original Atayal name was "Geilawan", and it was the home of the national fish, the Taiwanese salmon. When the cross island highway was built, the natural environment was so beautiful, that it was renamed to "Wuling". Due to the farm's high altitude, it is prone to the influence of monsoons. The temperature difference between night and day is quite large, which makes it suitable location for red maples. As a result, the farm has become one of Taiwan's top destinations for viewing maples. During the winter when the weather is colder, if you happen to be lucky, you may even come across the snowscape. Different plants and vegetations as well as fruits can be found at Wuling Farm each season. In order from January until December, there's peach blossoms, mountain cherry blossoms, pear blossoms, apple blossoms, red rhododendrons, white rhododendrons, honey peaches, pears, apples, maples, plums, and oriental cherry. There's also mountain vegetables and mountain tea. The Wuling Farm area contains Wanshou Bridge, Beigu Agricultural Landscape Area, mountain ecology area, observation areas, butterfly and birdwatching trail, Nangu Ecology Area, Qijiawan historic ruins, and more. Furthermore, there's a camping area, entrance garden and plaza, walking paths, and pavilions, just to name a few of the available facilities that provide guests with a more spacious experience. The large silver lion that's located just beside Wanshou Bridge is engraved with the three characters of "Xing Shi Yuan", and is a great treasure.
