Jianshi Township's Takejin Creek cuts through the white rocks of the river valley. Located near Xiuluan Village is a natural hot spring. Xiuluan Wild Hot Springs posseses water that is clear, colorless, and tasteless. After a dip in the springs, your skin will feel smooth and moist. It is Jianshi's earliest well-known natural hot spring, with slight but weak acidity in the water. There are many hot springs residing in this valley, and the easiest way to access them would be through the riverbed behind Xiuluan Elementary School. The amount of water is usually unstable and varies depending on the seasonal rainfall, however the water temperature remains around 45 degrees. Regardless of whether you're taking a soak or playing in the water, it's a relaxing and enjoyable experience in the open wildnerness. There are also spring areas within the vicnity of the magnificent Battleship Rock. Pass by the white rocks and identify where the spring water is coming out. Also to the bottom right of the checkpoint are several hot springs dug by people in the past, each differing in temperature, so that you may relax to your heart's content. Because it is a wild hot spring, there are no staff or around to help maintain the environment. So you'll need to remember not to leave behind anything that doesn't belong in this area!
