Bagua Tea Garden is located at Nantou's Zhushan Township, on No.11-1, Wuliao Lane. It is about 1000 to 1300 meters above sea level, and due to its rugged and hilly terrain, is also called "Ruanan" (Soft Saddle) or "Ruanan Tea Garden". The tea trees are similar to conical bamboo hats, and as a result, some people additionally call it "Lizi Garden", meaning "Bamboo Hat Garden". When visiting don't forget to take the time to try some mountain tea. In order to maintain the pattern of the tea garden, farmers will trim the lines of the tea trees along the terrace. Scenic spots and attractions located nearby are Zhushan Sky Ladder, Taiji Gorge, Laoshan Hot Springs, and many hot spring hotels.
