Applying for a number in Taiwan:
 
1.  Landlines
Please provide your Alien Resident Certificate, passport, ID card and NHI IC card of guarantor to the various telecom service counter to apply for landlines. If any problems are encountered, please call: 123 for telecom customer service center and applications.
 
2.  Payment of telecom bill
The telecom bill will be mailed to your mailing address every moth and the bill can be paid at various telecom service counters, banks, post offices, and convenient stores. Payment can also be made through ATM or ChungHua Telecom HiNet Website, phone payments, emome, and etc. Please note that you can apply for automatic transfers for the sake of convenience.
 
3.  Applying for Mobile Phones
Please proceed to your nearest telecom counter with your ARC, passport, ID card and NHI IC card of the guarantor for application of mobile lines. Please note that purchase of mobile phones can be made at a discount rate with the subscription of CHT lines. To call a mobile number, simply dial the 10 digits number with any phone.
